Jessie James Decker........................Born Jessica Rose James, Decker's somewhat exotic birthplace was a product of her being raised in a military family. Decker's parents relocated to Louisiana during the 90s. Decker won a regional talent contest with her version from Patsy's I Want to Be a Cowboy's Sweetheart at the age of barely nine. Decker was moving to Georgia at the age of was 15. She wrote songs frequently as well as visiting Nashville to look for bargains. The songs she wrote were offered to record labels and other artists through a Big Yellow Dog Records agent in her teens. Decker's second album announced under the titles of Daughter of a Gypsy or Sweet American Dreams was shelved by Mercury and after three singles failed on the charts for country. Decker was let go of her contract.
