Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson (born Kristen Noel Swanson) is an American actor, who gained notoriety as the character Buffy Summers. Her other roles include: Rebecca Becky Granger, in the television film Nightingales as well as the short-lived NBC Show with the same name; Erica Paget as Early Edition on CBS and Marlowe Viccellio as Psych. Being a native of California, Swanson was interested in acting as a young girl. She started her career as an advertising professional, appearing in multiple commercials. She appeared in an episode on the sitcom of NBC, It's Your Move in 1984. The following year, in 1986's love story Pretty in Pink, Swan made her debut on the bigscreen. Swan, who is known for her breathless voice and blonde hair, has appeared in side roles in the last few years. Swan won the Young Artist Award in 1990 to be the top actor in the midst of a horror or mystery film for Flowers in the Attic.
