The date of her birth is 29 March 1985 in Roswell, New Mexico. Gerina Michelle Mendoza is her name. Gerina Stevenson is a native of Mexico as the daughter of Mexican parents Alan Stevenson and Rita Stevenson. Stevenson is American and is of Mexican American heritage. Her desire to play sports began as a small kid. Gerina began playing golf at the age of 15 years old. Gerina was a student at Goddard High School for her high school education. The school won the New Mexico State Golf Tournament at the age of high school. As a volleyball player, she was also a participant in state tournaments. The year 2003 was the time she was enrolled in the University of Texas. During her senior years she was the winner of every competition she participated in. In her college career, she was crowned Conference USA individual champion player of the year and UTEP Female Athletics Player of the Year.
