Adams was one of seven siblings who grew up as a young child in Castle Rock, Colorado. Adams was born when her father was employed by the U.S. Military in Italy. She began dancing and acting professionally around the middle of the 1990s, with Boulder Dinner Theatre, and following that the Country Dinner Playhouse.
