April Lockhart
April Lockhart (born July 4 April, 1995) started her musical journey as a 7th grader when she took piano and guitar classes. At the age of seven, April began taking guitar and piano classes. It sparked her interest to write songs. At the age of 14, April devoted a great deal of time in writing song ideas and practicing her music. She started writing songs alongside her father at home in NY and LA within a short time. April also included additional topics in her song, Take my Hand. These topics were for friends that dealt issues like peer pressure, issues or even teenage suicide thoughts. Lockhart collaborates with famous clean beauty brand Ilia and is also a lifestyle influencer who has a growing fan base. Since she was born without a left hand, she is a major part of her. It's however not the entire tale. Lockhart's Instagram page doesn't overlook the fact that she has a disability. It also doesn't insist on her disability. What is the message? We all have multiple aspects of identities and we're beyond our physical bodies. It's not my intention to let that determine me. I do not intend to become an influencer in which I only speak about since there are so many other elements to me. Lockhart says via video from her residence in Nashville. My everyday life isn't dependent on it. I live my normal day-to-day life and discover my own solutions to problems. It's an integral element of my life therefore it's important to discuss the subject. Lockhart has been a great example to other women with regards to acceptance of oneself. She still admits having gone through a few phases regarding her appearance, feeling insecure at times to wear outfits that showcased her arms. She now wears whatever she'd like. and she shares her photos on social networks. Self-love, she says, is like a journey. "I do not think that you'll be in that place," she said. It's true for all, no matter what their levels of anxiety. It is important to have people around you who are aware of and can relate to the way you feel. They will be the ones who ask what you fret about?
